Homework for 23/24 september

We have a worksheet, which was passed out in class. Please write a formula, containing a variable, for each pattern. For example, here's a pattern:

x
xxx
xxxxx

The fourth step would be
xxxxxxx

and in general, if the step number is n, the number of x's is 2n-1.

Joy!

Vomitorium?

Um, folks, sorry about last Wednesday, but I misspoke about the vomitorium in ancient Rome...
A vomitorium really just the entrance / exit to amphitheaters and stadiums, so that people could get out (get it, they were being thrown out...). See here for more.

Sorry about the confusion.

Oh, and CPM Algebra people, you have a new site:

New school year

This is Eddi Vulic, welcoming you to my blog. This is where I will be posting assignments for my three math classes at Ferndale High School: Foundations for Algebra (CPM), Integrated Algebra 1 (CPM), and Algebra 1 (non-CPM).

Hopefully this site can be a good resource for students and parents, in case of absences or lost assignments.

I also hope to use this site for links to useful mathematics and education sites that I find. The first will be the College Preparatory Mathematics website, www.cpm.org.

If you need to contact me, please email at evulicatferndaledotwednetdotedu, but replace red text with @ and .

Thank you for stopping by, I'll be meeting you soon.

Mr. Vulic
